2010 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS - October 25, 2010 Election Personnel Required - If you are interested in working as a Deputy Returning Officer or an Election Assistant, please contact the Clerk at the Township Office Barbara Kane COLGAN OMB HEARING - (Wayland Farms / Winzen) - Minutes of Settlement and Wayland/Winzen Draft Plans NOTICE OF OMB COLGAN PRE-HEARING COLGAN COMMUNITY PLAN - REVISED JANUARY 2010 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Operator for our Water Systems The Township has made arrangements with the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) to operate all of our municipal water systems on our behalf, including regular water testing and monitoring services, effective Monday May 4th, 2009. Resident concerns will be dealt with by OCWA. During regular business hours you can contact them at: 1-866-775-7712. After Hours EMERGENCY only number is: 1-800-461-9675. For billing and meter servicing you can still contact the Municipal Office. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FREE WATER TESTING FOR LEAD The Township is conducting free water sampling for lead to any residence which is served by one of our municipal water systems. If you are interested in having your home's water supply tested for lead, please contact the Public Works Department at: (705) 434-5055 to arrange for someone to test your water supply.

Snow plows can also start backing up at any time without notice. Please help to ensure that children follow these safety rules: Don't play on or in snow banks along the road at any time Don't run onto the road ahead of or behind the snowplow Do stay well back from the road when a snowplow approaches |

The snow banks created by our snowplows can be very attractive to our children as a source of entertainment, but they can also be very dangerous. Snowplows are difficult to control. Visibility is poor, snow and ice can be thrown with a strong force from the plow wing, and our Operators are often pushing back the snow banks to make room for more snow.
